Never have I experience so many diverse levels of product review than with the vacuum cleaner. You can get as many "love it" comments as you get "never buy this piece of junk" comments on the exact same vacuum. I have been trying to find the best vacuum to purchase for a decent price.
You can certainly find a few "loved its" from the higher priced vaccuums, e.g. Miele or Sebo. But, there are very few people who review them, e.g. 3 or 4. It's not enough on which to purchase such a high-end product.
Consumer reports doesn't seem to have it figured out either. Many product reviews on CR are highly critical of the CR reviews I have read. AND having purchased a vaccuum that got high marks with CR, and said vaccuum causing many problems, I tend to agree.
